I've been around the vocal synth block for a long time, and I was there to witness the very beginnings of Synthesizer V, through Rocaloid, RocaRena, RUCE, Moresampler and finally the fifth installation - which is why it's called Synthesizer V and why the original files were S5Ps. Even the original beta verison (which I have a copy of from back when it was limited release) calls itself the fifth iteration.

So thinking back to RUCE in particular, there was a voicebank made for it, called Cyan. Technically, she counts as the very first Synthesizer V voice, a CV Chinese voicebank packaged specifically for RUCE.

I recently remembered she existed and tried finding a copy of her. I found the packaged copy for RUCE (which is entirely incompatible with UTAU).

With the help of a friend, I managed to get her segmented. Only trouble was, her original configuration was entirely incompatible with her in her current state.

So what now?

I've never configured a Chinese voicebank, had no idea where to start. But luckily, referencing Chinese CVV voicebanks and the Chinese CVV phonemiser, I'm finally getting somewhere.

I will continue to post updates and hopefully I'll be able to come here with a finished result! I do plan to hopefully send her to blogs such as UTAU Lost Media and Vocal Synth Resources so she can be shared with everyone in a functional state!
