porting satella to abandonware
It's well known in the vocal synth space that Synthesizer V R1 (the 2019 version of Synthesizer V) has been abandonware since roughly 2021, unavailable through any legal channels.
And it's also fairly well known that the development kit for this version of Synthesizer V was leaked fairly recently.
I got my hands on it and had an idea - what if I supported Satella's CyEL voicebank to SVR1?
CyEL is my private, word-based English method designed to replicate my accent as much as possible. On top of that though, because it uses modified X-SAMPA, it has all the sounds required for an SVR1 English voicebank, in a word-based format that it responds well to. In theory, it should be the best candidate.
In practice, the development process is tedious, exhausting but also so rewarding. I don't expect to get results or complete this for a long time, but it is something I'm working on. If I can have a version of Satella for R1, that cannot be modified by anyone and cannot have the data stolen (the devkit does allow you to extract the audio from a released voicebank, but it's so heavily compressed that the audio isn't useable), I might feel comfortable enough to release it?

We'll see!
