maintenances
I haven't posted in a week, sorry about that! But, I haven't been idle! Let's talk about what I've done recently!
Post Page Restructure
The biggest change I've made is to the posts page. The most important thing is that my posts are now sorted by month, and I eventually plan to sort posts by years when a new year comes around. Whether that will be a subpage or a drop-down, we'll see. Sorting by month also means that you can navigate my posts much easier, and they're more visually broken up.
I also changed the tags menu, so instead of linking directly to the tag - which unfortunately caused my status posts to pop up if you removed the filter - I created a subpage for each. They all share a template and can link back to the main posts page. Much easier to find what you're looking for, I think!
Projects Page Restructure
I also did the same for the projects page, with each project having a separate page. This means I can keep all the posts together, as well as share materials using it - say for example, I make a cover with Cyan on my YouTube channel, I can add a link to the video on the project page. I can add a description of the project, add images, whatever. It's much more organised and versatile this way.
Future Plans
Right now, I'm looking into how I have my masterlist laid out and whether I can shift anything around, or remove pages, or change things up, whatever. I honestly love the versatility that Bear Blog gives me, because I can just do that. I can just chop and change and draft and adapt, which I couldn't do when I was using Strawpage. Strawpage can create beautiful pages and it's a great way to express yourself, but only in a static way. With a living thing like a blog, something simple and light like this just brings me so much joy to use. The fact that I'm making future plans that I can act on just makes me so happy, especially since I don't have to make an entire page from scratch to do it!
